Welcome to PeterStang.com. A website for the extended family of Peter Stang. Hopefully, this can be a resource for information about our family; a place to exchange greetings, information, or whatever you would like to share. Please feel free to comment or share anything you would like to! All you have to do is click on one of the comment links or simply send an email to pilotman@gmail.com. Tell us what's new - what you thought of the Stang reunion - or just say hi to Uncle Bert!
Stang Calendar
Stang History Section
The Stang history section of the website is much improved. The detailed history is now split into chapters with files and pictures. It is a very interesting read if you have never checked it out. Also, if anyone has suggestions on good pictures to add to the chapters that have none then let me know.
Congratulations Betty on your 60 KM Walk for the Cure
You were victorious! YOU, together with other courageous Walkers raised $4 million through the 2008 Weekend to End Breast Cancer®. Thanks to you, the Alberta Cancer Foundation will continue to fund new and innovative breast cancer research, expand and enhance breast screening initiatives and benefit patients and families at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and throughout Alberta.
We are all so proud of you and thank you for your commitment and inspiration!
Just think; with every dollar you raised and every step you took, we are closer to putting an end to breast cancer forever.

If your at all interested in Stang history/geneaology - you should check out www.volmervillage.com. Some very interesting stuff - for example you can find the links ship lists where:
- on August 20, 1909, the SS Megantic left Liverpool bound for Quebec where it arrived on September 2. On that ship, was a five-year-old boy named Peter Stang who final destination was a place called Macklin, Saskatchewan...
If you want to know your heritage, why many Germans went to Russia in the first place and then why they left for North & South America - it's a real interesting read.
